Q1: If you had the opportunity to get an inspiring message across to a lot of people, what would your message be?
A1: If you believe in yourself, set yourself some goals and go for it. Too many people told me that I was tunnel-visioned by music and that it wasn’t a realistic goal. A few years later, I’ve toured with Disney, charted in Europe, interviewed some of the most famous faces on the planet and am building a great fan-base across the world that appreciates my music. If you feel good about it, do it.
Q2: How did you get started with your music? And if you weren’t an artist/musician what would you want to be doing?
A2: I started out rapping in my hometown Swindon, UK. I began to involve myself into rap battles, freestyle shows and eventually uploaded my music onto YouTube and it all went from there. A pilot I think, but these days as I have so much experience in the industry, I would most likely build an artist of my own.
Q3: What or who keeps you motivated and inspires you?
A3: My love and passion for music, enriched by my absolute desire to succeed in the things I do.
Q4: What is the most memorable experience of your life/career so far? And what have you learned from it?
A4: Probably performing to 42K people in 2 days at Sportpaleis, the biggest arena venue in Belgium. What a thrilling experience.
Q5: Would you go back and change anything in your journey so far? (If no, why)
A5: Absolutely not. Everything happens for a reason.
Q6: In the next two years what do you ASPIRE to have done?
A6: I would like to break the UK and really make a name for myself in my home country. I am ‘famous’ in countries in Europe but I really want to bring some of that back home.
Q7: How much of your life and background have influenced you to become a songwriter/musician?
A7: Not much to be honest. None of my family are musical apart from my uncle. My Uncle and I used to jam and sing together a lot which helped, and my parents and little brother were always very encouraging.
Q8: If you could collaborate with anyone who would to it be and why?
A8: If you could collaborate with anyone who would to it be and why? I think Owl City. I love his music and style. It’s all self-written and produced and he’s not afraid to roll with the sound that he wants to roll with. I respect that.
Q11: What is your motto in life/what do you live by?
A11: Work hard, play harder.
Q12: What is currently on your playlist?
A12: It would have to be Blank Space by Taylor Swift, and Tokyo by Owl City… great songs.
Q13: If you could have a song to be the soundtrack to your life what would it be and why?
A13: “Started from the bottom now we’re here” by Drake. Because at least that’s a lyric which I want to be able to relate to in 10 years time.
Q14: What are your biggest dreams? and what are your biggest fears
A14: Biggest dream is to become a world star of course! I want to sell out arenas and inspire people with my music and dream. I don’t have many fears, other than spiders… ergh, I don’t like spiders.
Q15: What is next for you/your plans for the next year?
A15: thereI will be releasing a new single in March called Young Forever, and a single after that. Can’t wait to show you guys my new music and I may also be touring this summer.
Q16: What would your advice to be to those out there who want to live their dreams?
A16: Has to be the same as question number 1. Additionally, don’t worry if you’re not up to par with the people you’re trying to become… with practise you can become perfect. Work hard and if that’s not good enough, then work harder.
Q17: Lastly, for those who don’t know where can people follow your career?
