Craft D // Spoken word extraordinar Danny spoke to his about his upcoming EP.

Q1: If you had the opportunity to get an inspiring message across to a lot of people, what would your message be?

A1: If I could get an inspiring message across to a number of people, I guess it would just be to fully believe in your abilities and give everything your best shot and to take time out of your day to inspire that same confidence into your friends and peers

Q2: How did you get started with your music? And if you weren’t an artist/musician what would you want to be doing?

A2: I got started with music and poetry by writing a lot myself and finding inspiration in my favorite artists, before eventually starting to perform my work more. Without this, I would likely have got involved in more academic aspects of writing, perhaps journalism.

Q3: What or who keeps you motivated and inspires you?

A3: My close friends and artists I’m surrounded by inspire and motivate me to keep at my craft, experimenting with my writing and adding to what I do.

Q4: What is the most memorable experience of your life/career so far? And what have you learned from it?

A4: My most memorable experiences in my career have been the downfalls and rejections, they really motivate you to prove people wrong and enjoy the great moments when they come.

Q5: Would you go back and change anything in your journey so far? (If no, why)

A5: If I could go back and change anything in my journey it would be to start performing at a much younger age, from my early teens.

Q6: In the next two years what do you ASPIRE to have done?

A6: In the next two years I would love to have performed in a number of new settings, reached a lot more people and improved my craft even further.

Q7: How much of your life and background have influenced you to become a songwriter/musician?

A7: Growing up I used to sing a lot, my mum’s a great singer and my older siblings played a lot of music that was influential on me, so I’ve been drawn towards music from a very young age.

Q8: What lyrics mean the most to you and why (ones you have written and or ones you didn’t write)

A8: The lyrics that have meant the most to me have come from my favorite rappers, the most quotable would be from Lupe Fiasco – from the incredible entendre, schemes, and concepts, to the simply put lines such as ‘Love always shines, that’s how it finds you’

Q9: If you could collaborate with anyone who would to it be and why?

A9: If I could collaborate with anyone it would probably be Lupe Fiasco – there’s no other rapper who could conceptualize an idea into a rap song better.

Q10: What is currently on your playlist?

A10: You could find pretty much any genre on my playlists now, I try to draw inspiration from as many different types of music as possible.

Q11: What is next for you/your plans for the next year?

A11: I’m aiming this year to release an EP, write a lot more poetry, continue making music and start developing a longer show/piece of work also.

Q12: What would your advice to be to those out there who want to live out their dreams?

A12: My advice to those chasing their dreams would be to have faith in your own ability if you believe in what you do other people will believe in it too – put everything into everything you do.

Q13: Lastly, for those who don’t know where can people follow your career?

A13:  I’m on social media and people can follow me there. I’mon Facebook, Soundcloud and YouTube, and on Twitter.
