Jordan Herbert // Fill every day doing what you love the most.

Q1: If you had the opportunity to get an inspiring message across to a lot of people, what would your message be? 

A1: Stay focused, stay dedicated & stay true to yourself. Never have a plan B.. Make plan A work

Q2: How did you get started with your music? And if you weren’t an artist/musician what would you want to be doing?

A2: It started back when we were about 10, me and my guitarist have been friends for years and have alway shared the same love for the stage. I couldn’t think of being anything else but a musician/artist.

Q3: What or who keeps you motivated and inspires you?

A3: Music inspires me, my little girl motivates me, I want her to look at me when she’s older and know that she can be whatever she wants to be.

Q4: What is the most memorable experience of your life/career so far? And what have you learned from it?

A4: Most memorable moment would be both of the times me and the band have been able t play “The Bedford” in Balham. By far my favorite venue me always a pleasure to play it. There’s a lot of history at this venue and to know that we play in a venue where the likes of Ed Sheehan, Paolo Nutini & James Bay has played is always an honor.

Q5: Would you go back and change anything in your journey so far? (If no, why)

A5: Definitely not… everything over the years good and bad is all a learning curve. Every experience makes your story more interesting.

Q6: In the next two years what do you ASPIRE to have done?

A6: I aspire to have created a variety of new songs for everyone and to make more of a stance in the social media world.

Q7: How much of your life and background have influenced you to become a songwriter/musician?

A7: I have been brought up by dancers, singers, and people who generally share the same love of performing as me. It goes back in generations.

Q8: What lyrics mean the most to you and why (ones you have written and or ones you didn’t write) 

A8: The lyrics that mean the most to me are from the title track of the New EP “Just Recently”. It was a change that I was making in my career and venturing into a new style also. I felt like a new artist writing that song.

Q9: If you could collaborate with anyone who would to it be and why?

A9: If I could collaborate with anyone it would be John Mayer.. his songwriting skills alongside his amazing vocals & impressive guitar riffs would be a dream for me.

Q10: What is the most inspiring message you have internalized in life so far?

A10: I may have repeated myself here… but a close friend/videographer once told me never to have a plan B, make plan A work!

Q11: What is your motto in life/what do you live by?

A11: Fill every day doing what you love the most.

Q12: What is currently on your playlist?

A12: John Mayer – “Still feel like your man”

Q13: If you could have a song to be the soundtrack to your life what would it be and why?

A13: 1975 – “The Sound” – Every time I listen to this song it gets me feeling pumped and positive. I love happy vibes!

Q14: What are your biggest dreams? and what are your biggest fears?

A14: My biggest dream is to be a successful full-time musician. My biggest fear, on the other hand, is snakes!

Q15: What is next for you/your plans for the next year?

A15: My plans for next year is to take more of a stance in the social media world. Creating more visuals for my fans so they can see what goes on behind the scenes, and of course… New Material.

Q16: What would your advice to be to those out there who want to live out their dreams?

A16: Never give up, believe in yourself, stay focused and dedicated to what you love. Surround yourself with people with the same passion as yourself.
