Q1: If you had the opportunity to get an inspiring message across to a lot of people, what would your message be?
A1: We just want people to have a great time. We’re all interested in politics and get involved, but that doesn’t really come into our music. We want people to forget what they’re doing and forget all their problems for the half an hour we’re on stage. A lot of our message is about getting out of a place you’re in and moving onto something bigger – lots of escapism and problems the youth of today face.
Q2: How did you get started with your music? And if you weren’t an artist/musician what would you want to be doing?
A2: Not going to lie I have no idea what I’d be doing if I wasn’t doing music – I’ve been doing it for too long and it’s the only thing I’ve wanted to do. I think we all started early in school after constantly listening to our parent’s record collections. I met Tom (our singer) years ago and we formed a band. That fell apart and we met Dom and started VITO – Jasper came in about last September.
Q3: What or who keeps you motivated and inspires you?
A3: For me it’s seeing the response of the songs we’ve released. When people say that it’s great, it’s a huge confidence boost and makes me want to write and play more.
Q4: What is the most memorable experience of your life/career so far? And what have you learned from it?
A4: Not sure about a personal experience, but at least musically we played the O2 in Newcastle early this year. It’s a really famous venue and was the first show that really went off – loved that. Really taught us how to put a show on when we play live.
Q5: Would you go back and change anything in your journey so far? (If no, why)
A5: I wouldn’t really change anything so far – it’s all going pretty well.
Q6: In the next two years what do you ASPIRE to have done?
A6: We really want to push our music outside of Newcastle – we’d love to have a sell-out show in another city.
Q7: How much of your life and background have influenced you to become a songwriter/musician?
A7: With growing up on and around music, I’d say almost everything has influenced me musically. My friendship group in school was really musical and the music was a huge social aspect for us so if we can replicate that with others, it’d be amazing.
Q8: What lyrics mean the most to you and why (ones you have written and or ones you didn’t write)
A8: I suppose that’s a question for Tom, but Masquerade, our first single, is pretty meaningful as it’s the song that got the ball rolling for us. It always gets a great reaction live too so I look forward to playing that one.
Q9: If you could collaborate with anyone who would to it be and why?
A9: Got to be Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys for me so I can see how it’s done properly.
Q10: What is the most inspiring message you have internalized in life so far?

Q14: What are your biggest dreams? and what are your biggest fears
A14: I guess it’s to live comfortably on music with my best mates. My biggest fear would then be if we couldn’t do that.
Q15: What is next for you/your plans for the next year?
A15: Release much more music and gig anywhere and everywhere!
