Hey guys we are Bars and Melody. We are a British duo. We love all of our fans and we want to make the best music possible to help them through hard times.
Q1: How did you get started with your music? And if you weren’t an artist/musician what would you want to be doing?
A1: We met on social media. Before we started a band, we did our own covers on YouTube and Facebook. We both kind of had a following. We stumbled across each other and decided to do a collab. We got on really well and decided to make the collab a permanent thing. Our new album Generation Z is a very emotional album. it’s all about growing up and the emotion/situations you go through.
Q2: What are your favourite songs at the moment?
Leo: My favourite songs are Fastcar and Allergic to the Sun.
Charlie: My favourite two songs are I want you and Unconditional.
Q3: What lyrics mean the most to you and why (ones you have written and or ones you didn’t write)
A3: During the recording process we write thousand of lyrics and have hundreds of ideas. We work really hard to get the best sound we can. We usually record about twenty songs and choose about 10-15 to go on the album. Choosing these songs can be hard. But at times it can be easy. You can create such a connection with the songs that you write. Sometime you just know which ones fit the album best.
People can get our music from record stores, iTunes, Spotify, our website. It’s everywhere basically. We love to hear what fans think about our songs so met us know what you think.
Q4: In the next two years what do you ASPIRE to have done?
A4: We are going on tour with our mate Jacob in October. We have been friends for a while over Twitter and instagram. He’s a real cool guy and we can’t wait to tour with him.
For our tour Generation Z we are working really hard on our performance, we want to put the best concert on to create an amazing experience for our fans. We will be performing our new album Gen Z. We can’t wait.
Q4: What is the most memorable experience of your life/career so far? And what have you learnt from it?
A4: Britain’s got talent was a crazy experience for us. We were both very young so it was a very new experience. It super fun and we loved every second.
My most favourite memory was playing to 80,000 people in Japan with Big Bang. It was amazing. Also being an Ambassador for The princess Diana anti bullying charity is super rewarding! We love meeting all the people we have helped with our music. We are very grateful for this opportunity.
Q6: In the next two years what do you ASPIRE to have done?
A6: We would love to get a No.1 album. That is our goal, to get as many people to hear our music as possible.
